doddleTALKS Tech: Stan Lebar & The Apollo Moon Camera

By James DeRuvo (doddleNEWS)

If you know me, you know that I’m a serious geek about one thing… the Apollo Moon Landings. Awhile back, I started a podcast called Conversations with Apollo, where I interviewed anyone who worked on this epic space exploration program.

So, with the 45th Anniversary of the Moon Landings happening this month, I thought I’d offer a special treat … my interview the Stan Lebar, the developer of the Apollo Lunar Video Camera, the one that beamed those epic images from the surface of the moon. And what was interesting about the interview, is that Lebar has no depth perception. And it was his job to create the camera to use on the moon. It’s a great story. Enjoy, and Happy Moon Day!
