If there is one thing that multiple seasons of Game of Thrones have taught us, it’s that the good guys die first. Over the last couple of seasons, however, it seems like the tide has been turning ever so slightly.

Cersei is now Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, and as evil as she can be, she never held a flame to the insanity that Ramsay Bolton enjoyed inflicting on people. Sansa Stark finally got her revenge on the man she was forced to marry at the end of last season, but that doesn’t mean the series will be without a resident psychopath.

In an interview with Empire, last season newcomer Pilou Asbæk has revealed that his character will be even worse than Ramsay ever was in the upcoming season of Game of Thrones. Here’s what he said (via Digital Spy):

“The psychos I’ve encountered have so many different sides to them. So each scene I’ve done with Euron, I pick a new thing I wanna show. ‘This scene I want to be charming.’ ‘This scene I wanna be a molester.’ ‘This scene I wanna kill someone.’ After this season, Ramsay’s gonna look like a little kid.”

It might be hard to believe considering that Ramsay hunted people for sport, raped Sansa, castrated Theon, and murdered his father, his father’s wife, and his father’s baby son. But then again, before Ramsay there was Joffery, and everyone thought he couldn’t be topped for evilness at the time.

Season 7 of Game of Thrones will be a turning point for Game of Thrones, I believe. Up until this point, the ultimate war against the White Walkers and their army of undead has been slowly building in the background, as everyone south of the wall has been scheming to take over the Iron Throne. Now that Daenerys Targaryen has left Essos for Westeros, there is a feeling that the war for the throne is finally coming to an end — and the true war will begin.

That also means despite the next season of Game of Thrones will have a shorter episode count, the death toll might be much higher than any previous season. It seems that we’re entering a phase of the story where the final few that will be left to take on the White Walkers will be revealed. It also means we’ll need someone to do the killing, and from the sound of it, Euron Greyjoy may just be one of those people.

Game of Thrones season 7 will premiere on July 16, 2017 on HBO.
