These Two New Contests Can Get Your Dream Editing WorkStation

“If money were no object, what would you create?” That’s the question that group collaboration software company is asking to launch their premiere filmmaking contest. And the lucky winner, could get what Frame calls the “ultimate dream workstation’ for Adobe Creative Cloud and But how do you win it? Well, it couldn’t be easier.

First, let’s talk about the grand prize … an HP Z840 workstation complete with dual Xeon E5-2637 v.4 processors, an Nvidia Quadro P6000 graphics card, three 2 TB Samsung 960 Pro M.2 Internal SSDs in a PCI driven RAID array, a Seagate BarraCuda Pro 10TB spinning hard disk drive. To display the 4K content coming out of this beast, is tossing in a pair of HPZ27 DreamColor 4K Displays, plus a Flanders Scientific broadcast reference monitor, Wacom Touch pad and an AJA to 4K converter.

With that free month of Creative Cloud, you can also put some work in to enter the second contest. FilmSupply is back with their annual editing challenge. Aimed squarely at those who like to edit footage more than shoot it, the FilmSupply Challenge provides you with the footage and music with which to cut together.

The submission window is currently open until November 1st, so you don’t really have a lot of time to get your submissions in, but since FilmSupply is providing most of the assets, including sound effects and music, an all nighter or two is all you need to put in to craft your entry.  Rules states you must include between 5 and 40 clips downloaded from, between 1 and 5 songs from and then submit to up to the three required categories: Ad Spec, Title Sequence, and Trailer.

From there FilmSupply’s judges will be awarding prize packages for:
